Bandung has served for popular weekend-break destination for people living in Jakarta. Significant tourist sites nearby to Bandung include the Tangkuban Prahu volcano crater to the north, the striking Kawah Putih volcano lake and Patenggang Lake, a lake surrounded by tea-plantation about 50 km to the south.
